I personally just go into the system settings (if I'm already running Gateway mode and on my EmuNAND) to get back to my SysNAND and then run the DSTwo. You'll of course have to re-run the Gateway exploit after booting a DS game, but that's pretty easy to do (I have the Gateway exploit on my DSTwo). I don't believe there's a way to get the DSTwo to work on the EmuNAND (at least mine doesn't, even when booting to Gateway classic mode).

Wait a sec, how do you run the GW exploit from DSTwo? Don't you need GW card inserted to run it and use GW?

Ok, thanks :)
How do I run the gateway exploit when I want to switch back to using GW?

That will depend on whether or not you have downgraded your 3DS. If you've downgraded, then you can do what I do and just put the Gateway Blue Card exploit on your DSTwo to install/run it to get back into Gateway mode. If you didn't downgrade, then you'd have to use the browser exploit to boot back into Gateway mode.

put the gateway exploit installer (I think it's called launcher_gw.dat, i'm not sure) on your dstwo and run it from there

EDIT: it's called GW_INSTALLER.nds

If you downgrade your 3DS to the lower firmware, then you'd use the Blue Gateway card to run the exploit. The Blue gateway card is just a DS flash cart, so you can just use the DSTwo instead of the Blue Gateway card.

When do I need to have the Red GW card inserted?

You'd need to insert it when you boot to gateway mode. Basically, it would go something like this (using a downgraded 3DS):

1. After you're done playing a DS game, you'd install the exploit (from the DSTwo).
2. Once installed, insert the red Gateway card.
3. Run the exploit (by going into the system settings, profile, DS profile).
4. You will be booted to your EmuNAND and can play 3DS games.

Do I put the GW Installer on root of mSD card?

Yes, but like others have said, you can't install the exploit using your DSTWO if you aren't on 4.x firmware. You can either downgrade to 4.x, or you will have to launch the exploit through the internet browser everytime.

Is it worth it to downgrade my 3DS? Is the process mostly safe?

That's really up to you. If you don't have any saves from retail carts that you need to worry about, then I see no reason not to downgrade. There's always a chance to brick your console, but I've downgraded about 5 systems and haven't ran into an issue. Again, it's really your call.

The process is safe, you can find many guides in the 3ds tutorial section. Keep this in mind though:

-Any game save made on a >6.x system will not work if you downgrade because the encryption is different. So if you have any saves like that, you'd have to start over your game.
-You won't have to connect to the internet to launch GW mode everytime if you downgrade, meaning you can launch GW mode virtually anywhere. (This is possible on 9.2 also but you would need an android phone)

So decide yourself if it's worth it :) Personally I downgraded so I won't need an internet connection, although I did lose my smash bros save!
