it's just people hypothesizing, just like how people said that the gateway was just for piracy and it would never enable region free gaming. sometimes people's guesses are right, sometimes they are dead wrong.

with a clone, you always run the risk that the team might put out their product, take their money and run (rather than supporting it and putting out updates down the road). it really depends on how long term the cloners were thinking. sometimes clones will get updates, sometimes they won't.

Simple. Don't update the firmware and disable WiFi.

That works until games NEED newer firmware versions and spoofing stops working. My guess is this will happen with any Miiverse-enabled game (although it could just spit out an error when trying to access those features, but I doubt it, especially now Ninty can get their hands on a Gateway).

For example by adding some useful API stuff that's not in older firmwares (like Miiverse probably at the end of this year!). They also did something like this at least once before (but for a different reason) by changing the way header data was stored IIRC. If they pull something like that again, Gateway support goes poof for an indefinite amount of time as you won't be able to run them without newer firmware or some SERIOUS reverse engineering.

I get the feeling most of the people here don't want the Gateway to succeed are butt-hurt, want it them to get sued and want to bitch about it.

Actually Senran Kagura Burst have a revision of the first game (gameplay and visual wise) as the "Hanzo Academy Story Mode", while the new story is the "Serpent Academy Story Mode". So there isn't any need to release the two first games of the series in the West, only the second.
