Would somebody show me how to use activators... I thought i knew but no i'm seeing codes that are
DD00000C And its suppose to be start + select... How does that work? Start=8 Select=4.

I tried using the "X" button and then, saving it, but, it says error on saving..

I would assume because start is 8, and select is 4, 8 + 4 = 12, AKA C in hex. Just a guess though.

By that logic, I'd guess you add the activator values together to get your button combos.

Sooo...

A (0x1) + B (0x2) = DD000000 00000003
Y (0x800) + D-Pad Right (0x10) + Start (0x8) + Select (0x4)= DD000000 0000081C

If I understand right anyway.

Are you sure it's "DD00000C"? Because that's supposed to be "DD000000 0000000C" otherwise the code won't work.

your microsd is larger than 32gb? if yes then that might be the problem

I will be an admin soon and as part of a deal with Gateway i will be helping to moderate the site the best i can and provide codes.

I strongly agree that all codes should be credited and it does annoy me that the user on here has taken mine and then some added pointless activators or has other codes that are wrong, for example i see one thats for majoras mask that gives you 255 rupees and its two lines.... when its only needed to be one and because its in the set to ff rather than 3e7 it could be just the one code thats set to infintie/max rather than finding again the same code in the wrong format set to 999.

I have asked if its possible to put some rules in place before users upload codes, and to be able to edit whats been uploaded.

I am still stuck btw trying to get my new code to work how i want that i inboxed you about, i can only get it to freeze when i press the activator but i want it to subtract.

they posted that they will have the user edit mode up tomorrow and those Contributor names n/a will become the username of the person who posted those codes on forte42 once they registered on the site
check the code in post #770 , change it to match your address and the value you want to add and minus, and the highest and lowest value it could go

I have some questions about "D3000000" code.
If I want to do a 16 bit write to an address at 21234567, the code should be like this, right?

Then I figured that if the address starts with a 0, I don't have to use "D3000000" to set an offset.
So, I've seen some cheat codes with "D3000000 00000000" in the first line. (ex. http://fort42.cu.cc/gateshark/game1786/?search=&sort=dates&p=2 )
But what's the point of adding it when the default value of offset is zero? Is there something I'm missing?

you don't need to reset the offset to 0 for every new code.
it makes codes longer, ugly... don't do it

no, they are a different format, and different rules too... you could convert them but maybe not possible to automate it... I'll have a look
