-edited because just saw this was 3ds section-

dstwo works.. it is not the same as a gba flashcart (and a gba or ds lite) but it will run better than any other NDS card

It's the best you're going to get for GBA on a 3DS until/unless someone makes a 3DS native one (breath status: not holding), but if you've got a PSP (or can get one cheap) and hack it, there's a good GBA emu on there.

ya i was thinking about picking up a pspgo for cheap, i'll keep my eye out. If i can get it cheap enough, might be worth it more than spending $40 for a card.

Seconded. The PSP is a great system for retro gaming and even semi-modern games. GBA emulation is next to flawless on it and offers full save state and action replay (unlike most DS/GBA emulation on 3DS/GBA). And honestly, I feel like the PSP is more natural than a DS/3DS (You don't always have one screen left blank).

For $125, I managed to get a PSP 3000 with a 32 GB class MicroSDHC + MicroSDHC to Memory Stick Pro Duo converter. 32 GB has been enough to house over two dozen PSX games (including multidisk), a handful of PSP games, as well as numerous NES, SNES, GBC, GBA, Sega Genesis, and other retro console emulators and ROMs.
