Hacking Gateway and SC DSTwo Question

When would I want to use emunand?

I can guarantee that updated SC DS Two will run both on 9.4 and 4.2 units (I have 2 "legit" systems and 2 with gateway).
In versions 5.X till 9.2 you will need to re-run the web exploit everytime you reboot your system (entering system configurations and exiting it counts as reboot), if you downgrade your system you can run the web exploit or do the DS Profile Exploit (using your SC DS Two or the blue gateway card).
The DS profile exploit won't require you to reinstall it every reboot, but if you boot any DS retail card or DS flashcard (R4i/blue gateway, SC DS Two) then you will need to reinstall the exploit before using Red Gateway again. It happens because the system will fix the DS Profile every time you enter DS mode.

damos1212 there is a CIA that downgrades the 3DS whitelist, so you can run older DSi compatible cards on it.

Wait a sec, I am confused... I have to reinstall exploit every time system is turned off or reboots? I read on this thread that I have to run exploit after using DSTwo... Can someone explain please?

I am planning on downgrading my 3DS once I get my devices (Gateway and DSTwo). When do I need to run exploits and do I need to reinstall every time 3DS shuts down or reboots? I am confused on all this...

Just read and follow what I have said buddy to you on previous comments, that is correct, what he has told you now has just confused matters, don't worry about it, just do and follow exactly what I have said when you get your gateway card and setup

OP needs to update his DSTWO firmware. I was able to run DSTWO fine on the later firmwares for 3DS.

Because you need to turn your 3DS on first, then go into System Settings, then click on Other settings, then Profile and last Nintendo DS Profile just to run your enumand so if you can imagine what I am saying it gets annoying keep doing this time after time just because you want to go into your emunand and play a game or whatever you want to do etc.. with your 3DS.

For me it's the opposite, to use the browser exploit, I need to turn off wifi, clear cookie, go to bookmark, turn wifi back on, and refresh page. If I don't do it in this order, the exploit won't work... So the DS profile is better for me.

Best way to set the browser hack up for easy access to your emunand is as follows:-

Setup an internet connection first in settings and then turn your wifi switch off on the side of the 3DS when set up and just go back to the Home Menu.

Go Into the browser icon with your wifi switch on the side turned off, click on your tool wrench icon, go down to Clear All Save Data and click on and remove all your data, it will then close back to the 3DS Home Menu, then go back into the browser icon with the wifi switch still turned off and just select next options and set it up with Google as your search engine and confirm last, next click on URL and type in the box http://go.gateway-3ds.com/ next go to Bookmarks and delete all your Bookmark items with the wrench icon (Nintendo 3DS Bookmarks, Yahoo, Google etc..) and last click on close your browser. Turn your wifi switch back on, on the side of your 3DS and click on the browser icon and it should just directly go into the Gateway Emunand asap, job done, quite easy!.

All you do is now in systemnand just make sure you only use one wifi connection which you already will have done to access the browser hack in the first place and then choose your Spotpass options and turn them all off and then go into Parental Controls and set a PIN code up for your Parental Lock, my advice is to use your Credit/Debit card PIN number then you will never forget your 3DS PIN, this will then stop any update nag appearing on systemnand and you can always have your wifi switch on the side of your 3DS knowing it wont update your firmware ever over night or at anytime for that matter by itself.
