Hacking Gateway and downgrading

Hi

i would like to downgrade my 11.9 luma cfw+bootstrap to an older firm to get my gateway working to convert my older saves, what are the step to do so ?

i want to keep my stuff while downgrading is it possible or do i have to backup everything ?
should i use a 11.X nand image from the 3DS guide or a 4.X old one that i already have ? also if i recall correctly its easier to install gateway on 4.X than on higher firm

safest way to downgrade ? read that sysupdater wasn't that safe but ctrtransfer was

do i only need the last gateway emunand files : https://psxtools.de/index.php/Thread/76249-GATEWAY-emuNAND-11-7-0-40E-U-J-Original-GATEWAY-Card/ or official one and Blue linker files ?

if i downgrade to like 4.5, create a emunand and get gateway working, then i will just have to delete the emunand and update ? assuming bootstrap/godmod remain installed

1. Make an emuNAND https://3ds.guide/godmode9-usage

4. Boot into Gateway mode on emuNAND
5. Extract your saves and inject them on sysNAND https://gbatemp.net/threads/importing-gateway-saves-to-cia-games.425743/
6. Get rid of your emuNAND and don't touch Gateway again https://3ds.guide/move-emunand/
