Hacking Gateway 3ds is a CTR card?

By which i mean it has CTR in the gameID regardless of what rom you use.
Retail carts don't do that.


Using my CYBER GADGET save editor to attempt to read savedata:

Kid Icarus Uprising JPN:
Retail game ID: AKDJ-XXXXXX
Gateway with rom: CTR-P-AKDJ-XXXXXX


Huh the more you know. That also means that hardware save editors won't work on gateway gamesaves.

so uh. Is there a way for me to get the game ID to just be the same as a retail cart? I don't see why it was necessary for gateway to have the extra section in the GameID

isn't ctr id for something like "no region lock" ?

CTR -> Horitzon(..?)

Yes, GW uses his own crypto save(i think is AES CBC, like launcher)
