tried doing this http://www.maxconsole.com/maxcon_fo...Update-Emunand-9-0-0-20-with-Gateway-3ds-2-4b updated my system messed everything up figures i backed up my nand can i fix this or no i really wish someone tried to explain to me what to do...

That tutorial I linked to explains it all. Since you already made a nand backup, then all you need to do is make the emunand. Once you do that, load into gateway mode and go into the settings and verify it by looking at the firmware version, yours should look something like GW3D 4.3.0-?, only after you verify that you are running the Gateway firmware proceed to page 4 of the settings (without exiting the settings menu) and do an online update, do not update from the eshop. Only update the emunand while running the emunand, if you do an update while using your official 4.3 firmware you will update your console. Just read over that guide I linked to and post your question in that thread.

It's no use SickPuppy, he failed to follow simple directions.

followed it step by step i wasnt connected to the internet when i updated thats all i can think that might have caused the problem
So you updated from a game cartridge, like I said. You NEED to go into system settings, make sure it says GW3D, then update through there.

i cant anymore now im 6.2 i saw your post after i messed
up

thats cool make me feel even worse what a great community...
It's your own fault. You clearly didn't follow the instructions.

At this point, you're better off updating all the way to 9.2.0 and waiting for Gateway to release their update. You could always use that nand backup to get back to 4.x

I'm with Pestilence204. It's really quite simple and you messed it up. I'd recommend you wait for the 9.2 Gateway release as well now, what I would not recommend you doing is attempting the hardware mod to restore your original nand backup. Please don't.
