Hacking Gateway 3DS can't load roms

Hello all, I had a question about the Gateway 3DS.

I'm using a Kingston 16GB HC card and I have successfully randomized, repacked, and added a header to the Pokemon Alpha Sapphire .3ds rom. (rom name PokemonAlphaSapphire.3ds).

I have also already set up Gateway using the red Gateway card.

However, whenever I try to load the game from the Gateway roms menu it gives me the black screen with a note to contact Nintendo support and freezes. Do I need a new SD card?

I'm using an old 3DS with version 9.2.

Your 3ds ROM needs renamed .3dz if it has a header. This is the standard for online ROMs with a header on them.

Thank you very much for replying. I will try that!

I renamed the file PokemonAlphaSapphire.3dz and tried running it again but I still get the black screen with the Nintendo support note.

I have also tried with a randomized Pokemon X rom using pk3ds. I followed all the steps in the 3DS tutorial Asia81 made but I'm still getting this error.
