Yes i am using HDMI,i've heard you cant use both at the same time but is that just for the wii u cause it works fine on my 360.

For the WiiU, yeah, as far as I know it has to be one or the other. Meaning, you can't use HDMI for video while still using the RCA for audio. You'll need to use either HDMI for audio AND video (which you can't in your setup), or deal with component/composite.
So how can i get sound then lol Buy a new monitor with built in speakers seems to be my only choice unless nintendo releases a firmware patch that allows me to override this but im sure that would not happen for a very long time
