but the Game langugae is only German. So I'll delete the foreign desciptions from the German ID, right?
Another point: Most English PAL disc images are wrong, nearly all of the games (I own) have the German USK Logo.
Good question! If the only in-game language is German I think it's safe to remove the other descriptions.
Are you looking at custom discs or original disc images? For custom disc artwork this is not unusual.
If you meant original discs, i wouldn't say "most", but it seems like a few "wrong region" original disc artwork were uploaded.
A big disc artwork update is planned so it will get fixed after the update.
These discs all have the USK logo in the EN disc:

These were just the firts games from my WBFS partition. I checked 16 of my games until now and 14 have the logo.
Do they have this logo in all regions? I'm talking about these:

your database should include game controls for each game so when loaders use the info, it can pull up the how to play/ controls info as well.. i find that more useful for loaders than a game description..

Am I missing something? I thought it has that information already. And I'm not sure but I think USB Loader GX is the only loader that supports viewing that information. Please correct me if I am wrong as I'd like to try other loaders that has better support for wiitdb.

I did not understand why we should need all "locale" entries when downing one game

It could be used to display the titles in all languages for example.

Could u pls check http://wiitdb.com/Game/RWAU78 . I uploaded an image, but it doesn't seem to show up :\Do you have this game with this ID, did you backup it yourself? This is not an usual game ID so it's not detected as PAL or NTSC.
If you see a game with no region in the database, it means its ID is not recognized. It's either a wrong entry or a new region letter, but that needs to be confirmed.

Why not, but I'm not sure people would really use it, it's not like there is a combo list for every game.
About usefulness, most games include in-game tutorials nowadays so adding game controls would be redundant, while looking at a description is not, it can be useful to let a kid play on your Wii without explaining what each game is about. Maybe the manuals could be stored as pictures on the SD card...

or even walkthroughs... but maybe that's a bit overkill

I've searched on google for RWAU78 , there are 2 sites (including usbgecko.com) where its listed as a "false region code" .
I guess it's a mistake between E and U for USA.

I've checked my original french discs , and they have this logo too.
I guess it appears on all PAL discs.
Ah, ok

Is it really the USK logo on your discs or is tehre another one with this shape? (I just ask because I'm not sure by watching the 160x160px images

)
So Nintendo (I mainly own Nintendo titles, that's why I checked them) is just lazy and presses the same disc for the whole PAL region. Thanks for clearing this up

What's new on the site:
- In addition to limiting the downloaded information to installed games only, a language filter is now available: wiitdb.zip?LANG=DE
It will limit the downloaded synopsis to the chosen language.
- The limit has also been raised to downloading information for up to 500 installed games
- Links have been added to open a google image search using the game's title.
- I started upgrading covers starting from page 1, to replace the ones that came from the old packs that looked blurry or compressed.
- The site is now a little bit more IE friendly.

Something nice some may not have noticed yet:
Loader GX is now compatible with the regional covers, covers downloaded from the loader will match your Wii's language setting.

edit: all covers/3D covers from page 1 to page 8 have been reviewed, practically all were redone.

It's compatible for a longer time

All my games already display German covers for a few days
wink.gif
I also added (and replaced bad/blurry) German covers for all games I have on the disc, other will follow when I have some free time.
Another note: I couldn't change the cover for Shaun White Snowboarding NTSC, it was really blurry but the Server didn't overwrite it with my sharp image. It has a good 3d cover and full cover but the normal cover is not changeable:

USA, English and Japanese covers/3D covers from pages 1 to 14 have now been checked and redone from good quality sources when needed (that's 350 games)
I also checked the other covers so some FR and DE covers were also upgraded.

For those wondering about the logos on British covers, it appears UK covers will only use PEGI now, no more BBFC.

So I just need to download the wiitdb.zip file, stick it in the right spot on my sd card and thats it? Will I have to download it more then once? Does that add just game info, or the covers as well, or do I have to download the covers separately?

Sorry for all the questions.

By the way, can't download that file:
"This Account Has Been Suspended"

thanks

You don't even have to download it, doing a full update from the loader is the recommended way, it will only download the info for the games you have.

The site is offline and will return soon.
