I played the Phoenix wright series and Time hollow (loved both) and I want more games like it, Time hollow was a pretty short game but as long as the story is good, I don't care about length of game.

EDIT: post 199!

EDIT 2: forgot to add that I finished hotel dusk.

Lux-Pain is like Time Hollow.
Hotel Dusk is a good story driven game too.
Thanks for the suggestions, although I finished Hotel Dusk, I might give Lux-Pain a try.

EDIT: 200th POST YAY

Lux-Pain, eh, it was confusing.
You can actually miss a lot of the story since events will disappear forever if you wander around aimlessly too much.
Not to mention you can fail certain events or trigger events that you can't clear due to missing information from another event.
There's a lot of missables in general, but it's pretty interesting if you do things right.

Says the person with OCD -_-
Teach me how to have it so I can play the game, correctly.

That's a shame, I don't want to follow a guide to not miss any of the events. =(

Well, the game has multiple endings if I recall.
You can just save once you're able to choose events for the day.
You can see how many "turns" you have total and how many turns each event lasts on the map.
Obviously the ones that will only stay for 2 turns will need to be picked before the ones that will stay for 3 turns and so on.
Sometimes you'll be forced to choose between two events, I don't think it really matters, but you can just save before the choice to see each event and stick with the one you prefer.

I'll probably end up doing that. Just to see how the story goes.

must we have these "games like time hollow" threads every month? maybe we should sticky one to prevent others...

truth be told, there are NO games like time hollow

sure, "lux pain" seems to be close to it but after a while it gets kinda tiring and the bad translation doesn't help much....characters were interesting though and I liked the dark vibe of the game a lot.
there's also "miami heat" or something like that but I played for a few minutes and didn't think much of it...

I recommend taking a look in the "graphic adventures" thread for some ideas.

also download scummds if you really want some hardcore adventuring

Give VNDS a try, though, almost all the visual novels ported to it contain adult content.

I agree, it sucks I never got to see the end, one chapter before I missed something and it gave me the alternate ending, if I want to see the end, I have to do it all again.

And that's why saving before an event exists.
