Gaming Games for a 7 year old?

My sister's getting her son (my nephew) a DSi for his birthday (she found one used), I wanted to get him a few games. What are some good games for a 7 year old? It's been a while since I've owned a DS, so far all I can think of is Mario/Kirby games.

Pokemon is always good. Or Animal Crossing Wild World, Sonic Rush, Nintendogs, Kirby Squeak Squad, and Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. These are all games I played when I was 10/11 years old.

Why not get a 3DS? Anyway, maybe get him Pokemon B/W2?

the "Lego" games are really good. Ben 10, transformers, cars, "backyard" series, spongebob series. the "smart boys" or "smart kids" games are popular, as well.
