My gamepad annoyingly turns on its screen on its own all the time to tell me that it couldn't connect to the Wii U console and to turn the gamepad off, move it closer and try again. I do not want it turning on however, so that info-screen is not of any help. It will keep doing this on reapeat everytime I turn the gamepad back off. It works perfectly when I turn on the console manually and the gamepad then turns itself on as well to connect, as it does all the time.
The power button on the gamepad works for turning itself and the console on and off, so I don't believe that to be the issue.
Strangely enough, this issue does not occur when it is plugged in to the charger or in the dock when it is off. In that case, the gamepad will stay off, not turning on randomly.
Any recommendations?
