I have heard much about a program called SDBoot. I haven't tried it myself, but it's supposed to boot GC games via SD card. You have to have a SD Gecko to use it, however. If you have an SD Gecko, it would be something to consider.
I was considering buying an SD Geko, Not sure if i will though. I really want to see how far along softmod goes before i consider buying something. So no one is currently working on this? Seems like cake sense soft modders seem to know the gamecube in and out o.o
It doesnt have the best compatibility... I bought the wiikey SDLoad card thing from DX awhile ago and it wasn't really worth the hassle
