ok i'm not only going to tell you the answer to you question but i'm going to teach you how to search for information... ready?

the answer to your question is set the book type to "dvd-rom"

now if you need further info on how to do this there is a very good guide, just use the search button(top far right of page) and type in what you'd like to know, that way threads that have been made many, many times don't get re-created

not trying to be rude, just educate the noobs

You probably could. You can use DVD+Rs with Wii games, but you have to set the booktype settings.
It's better just to get some DVD-Rs

Some ppl say +R is bad for the wii laser

Well some people like to spread rumors. Here's the catch... those discs will not 'damage' your laser. Eventually wear out but by then the Wii will be the equivalent of an NES today. Simply put, Outdated. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but it is really hard to damage your Wii laser.

yea DVD+R reading is no differnt from - reading, its just the way the disk is made that makes it "difficult" to burn to. people need to research more into them things. its just like "wii cant read DVDs because of the hardware" but its just disabled almost(and i mean ALMOST) the same thing

The ones that are parts and/or not working are from what I can see.

companies use them for three years or so
before they are dumped on the market

nah you can find lots of working ones if you look carefully
