I've got finally a (hopefully working)xenogc hex (and wikii compatible). Now i would like to know. What chip i can use to programe it and where i can find (or make) a programmer that can do it. Oh and maybe if someone has a working link of the xenogc 2 hex, that would be nice or any alternative open source.

I want to clone it because it's harder and harder to find those chip for older console nowadays at reasonable price.

Thanks in advance for any useful information given.

I love it when I buy things and it drops in price $10 following month :hateit:
  • Veho @ Veho:
You paid for the privilege of having it a month early.

Even tho product is already a year old

I'm so very tempted to buy that new Anbernic SP. Bastards.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Buy two glue your old screen to the bottom, makeshift Ds
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
i want that anbernic sp too
  • Veho @ Veho:
I have their previous SP clone and it's great but the new one has analog sticks, a better screen and twice the RAM. Which I'm not sure makes any difference but twice is twice.
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
the screen looks a lot more punchy
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's exactly three times the resolution of the GBA so there's no resampling in full screen. Integer scaling FTW.
  • Veho @ Veho:
And the colors look great in review videos.

    So very tempted.
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
the sticks are moot for me cuz i just want the gba exp.
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
gimme some shoulder buttons i'm used to already
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
i like my miyoo mini but mainly just play gb and gbc on it cuz the shoulders are ill-placed
  • Veho @ Veho:
I expected the shoulder buttons on mine to feel weird but the L1/R1 feel just like the GBA SP and the L2/R2 aren't in the way.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Did you have a GBA SP?
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
yeah but it's the 1st one with the dim screen
  • mthrnite @ mthrnite:
i fucking love the form factor tho, just perfect.
  • Veho @ Veho:
The shoulder buttons are pretty similar. If you can't get used to the Myoo Mini placement, maybe these will work out better.

    yes

i like my micro too, but since i got cataract surgery it's just toooo tiny
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Veho, I still have my GBA SP that I bought from a decade ago. It's been modded to have a clear blue shell, I might go with adding an amplifier to boost the sound cause it's so quiet.

Not a fan of the micros as you're missing out a lot of features, like GB/GBC support, connecting link cables, it's incredibly difficult to repair because the plastic is very fragile and you could easily screw it up if you're not careful.
