Side scrollers: Castlevania....both of them. EDIT: Oh....you like side-scrolling SHOOTERS......Konami Clasiics Arcade has the arcade Gradius.

FPS: Bionicle: Heroes (I thought it was good for a DS FPS)

If you're a fan of Metal Slug, you might want to wait for MS7 coming for the DS. I just hope SNK Playmore doesn't slack off with the quality...
