I have two PS3 slim's, one has more recent game saves on it, so thought would save them to USB.

put them in other PS3, copy them across, play a game, and says "not same user" or something to that effect.

how is that? both consoles have same model#, CFW, user name and internal 500GB drive.

even changed the user icon & colour to exact same, but still says no!

anyone know the answer to this??? the only other option can think of is the machine name in system settings....

Thanks in advance

loool!

anyway, the param.sfo of the save links it to both console and user (then the individual game may care or not)

if you want to change these numbers, check out http://wonderpierrot.blogspot.com/2013/08/how-to-resign-ps3-game-saves.html

since both consoles are modded, you could also use an homebrew file manager to manually copy the save (dev_hdd0/home/*/savedata/{titleid}/* except param.sfo) to USB and from there to the other console - results may vary!
