Hacking Game Icon Missing

Hi there - first post here.

After installing games via wup installer to my USB. On the Home Screen it shows a generic icon with the Game Title. The Game Plays fine but how do I get the Icon of the game to show on the Home Screen?

Sorry a bit of a noob but slowly learning here. USB Helper obtained the game which was then installed with Wup Installer. Game Installs and Plays just fine it just doesn't show a game icon on the Wii Home Menu. It shows a generic icon with the game title not the actual game icon.

Is the Icon something I need to get from USB Helper? Is it something I need to modify separately?

Properly dumped games should just display the icon automatically.

You used Wii U USB Helper with the reddit workaround?

I've never seen a game do that that's Wii U. Only a Wii game that was injected or other system.

I used 104.XXX.XX.XX for title keys so maybe that is the issue?

But you did it by finding the workaround on reddit right with the USB Helper Launcher? As far as I know that's the only way to use USB Helper now so I'm sure you did.

Edit your post to delete the title key site we're not allowed to post that info on here. But I'll say it's not the one I used.

I believe that only the main executable is indexed (during installation), which is the reason for the code, content, meta, sys folders being generic locations for each game. the icon and game name (meta.xml) isn't recorded, since you freely change them without reinstallation. it's a bit like how the ps3 works its content, since all that's needed is the PARAM.SFO.

I got USB Helper from a different link than the link provided in Reddit. I will "Clear Install" and use the USB Helper .exe file from Reddit and key location posted there. Maybe that will help. Will try again and check in the morning.

remember to use the launcher/helper provided to open up WiiU USB Helper or it will make you do the whole process again. place a shortcut to the desktop or to the taskbar.

Well you didn't exactly follow the instructions then. Not a surprise something went wrong.
