I've just upgraded to 5.50 GEN B-2 from m33. Gran Turismo now works, it doesn't on m33.

Dunno why I waited so long to switch to GEN, I have no problems with it. Hopefully they come to the rescue and release 6.0 GEN.

EDIT: Nevermind, got it working!

How?

From messing around with my settings in Recovery Mode, I disabled that "Execute boot.bin on UMD/ISO" or whatever under Advanced -> Advanced Configuration.

Bad thing about this decryptor is, you still need an official hardware update in order to access the playstation store. I tried going online with Motorstorm, and typical, you need to log in your playstation store account to get online. And I get the error that I need to update.

Ah well. At least the game IS playable finally on m33-6.

On side note, this guy really needs to update the list asap.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs USA -> Not working, UMDGen has problems to edit the iso (ISO is 963MB but output is 550MB), black screen @ PSP

All you need to do is just type in a new file name when you save it, such as, "cloudymeatballs.iso".

Don't overwrite the original ISO or whatever, you'll get that error.

Just create a whole new ISO.

I did it, and same error. Even Magic ISO saves the output @ 550MB for some reason.

This game doesn't need to be patched.

Alright well, fed up with the playstation store situation, and Dirt 2 not working, I am now going to upgrade to GEN-B2.

M33 feels like only a bad dream for me.

And Yuan, you're using UMDgen 4.00 right?

Yep, last version. I think it is a ISO issue (bad dump maybe?)

Anyway,

The differences of 5.50 GEN and 5.00M33-6 are:

- No 1.50 Addon (only affect Phat users)
- No mem stick enhanced performance

You need to switch between M33 or Sony np9660 to see which is best for you. Some USA games run just fine which some Euro games cannot. Just test them.

Also, update to 5.50 Gen B2 is better than 5.00 m33-6 because not all games will work on 5.00 m33-6 with this trick. The 5.50 Gen b2 works the best to my understanding.

GAME NAME: Gran Turismo
GAME REGION: USA
PSP TYPE: Phat (PSP1001)
PSP FW: 5.50GenB2
LOADER USED: Sony NP9660
ISO/CSO: ISO

GAME NAME: Gran_Turismo
GAME REGION: USA
PSP TYPE: Phat 1001
PSP FW:5.50 GEN-B (Full)
LOADER USED: Sony NP9660
ISO/CSO: ISO
STATUS : Working

Could be a bad dump. Or try running the program as Admin if you're running vista. It works fine for me when creating an ISO with a different name.

And oh crap, really? No 1.50 addon!?!?!?!? That might of just now ruined my chance of owning this new firmware. I need the 1.50 for the infrared remote program, and other homebrew I have...

And what do you mean by mem stick enhanced performance? Will it not read fast or something?

It is a feature that Dark_Alex introduced in 5.00 to achieve better read speeds (it is activated on Recovery Menu).

EDIT: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs USA -> Working

It was indeed a bad dump, tried another and worked.

The first version I found had this same error, but found it in another source and worked.
