hmm...LayeredFS is the cause of all the bans that has been going on. No one should be using LayeredFS to pirate games unless you're banned already. SX OS is at least a little bit safer than LayeredFS so everyone should be warned. My info may be false but as much as I know, those who used SX OS only, didn't get banned as much as those who used LayeredFS to play games

There are about as twice as many people who have not been banned for using LayeredFS than those who have so I would argue its not the sole cause. Also, there are now over 10 people banned without using LayeredFS so while SX OS is safer, its not foolproof either.

I haven't personally been banned yet, and my console is always online even in a layeredFS game. I probably just missed the banwave or something though.

Is there any way to get this tool to extract romfs.bin to a romfs directory instead? I'm using FAT32, but I'm trying to play Wolfenstein.

I'm guessing it hasn't been updated to include more recent games cause when I load Sonic Mania Plus on it it just crashes.

Apparently using Airplane Mode while playing the games you backed up should at least help circumvent the bans.

"Circumvent"

This is called self-banning.
