G6 DS Real v.1.1 System Files Released

Not even out, yet there's an update.

While there was no documentation included as to what is new, from initial testing, here's what we know that is new and changed:

· Multiple speed improvements (booting, GUI, loading and saving).

· New fading effect added while navigating within the initial portion of the GUI.

· Touch screen accuracy has improved.

· Easier to disable selections within the Cheats Tab.

· Soft Reset key options have changed. Now, you can choose L+R+B+A+X or L+R+B+A+Y.

· New system file, setting.dat.

· The default skin is now stored within the system files.

There may be more changes, but without an official list from GBAlpha, we may have missed some. If you know of any not mentioned here, please feel free to report them in this thread and provide some evidence. We'll update any other changes. As for the G6 DS Real Review, that is still a work in progress. Keep it glued to GBATemp for further news.

Weren't these supposed to have GBA support? :\
There has been rumors surrounding "Real" involving some sort of GBA support for months. The only information that is confirmed is that GBAlpha has developed a prototype memory expansion in regards of M3 DS Real. What it is being used for exactly is not known. It's a given that support for the DS Browser will likely happen. The key point has always been that the memory expansion includes 32MBytes onboard. That mirrors the maximum size of any GBA ROM. However, there is no guarentee that this expansion module will ever see the light of day nor will it be included with the M3 DS Real upon its retail debut. For now, we only have bits and pieces of information and a whole lot of speculation. As soon as we know anything new and concrete from the lips of GBAlpha, we will be happy to share it. Just like we are doing now, you'll have to wait and see.

Once again, there is no confirmation that any of the Real product line will be able to support GBA.
