Before I get too happy... this works with every AK2i sent by nds-card, right? I'm still waiting for it to arrive spain, its on its way

And... the most important thing... will that fix a 2ds with blue screen? That console didn't suffer any mods, just was updated, played a while, frozen, and then the blue screen...

I found the fork you're referring to. Any chance you could supply said patched bootloader? And an unpatched one for returning the card to a normal state might be good as well. I should not have any trouble using that fork of D9 since I'm using BootCTR9. But I could convert it to a .firm via firmtool if I hit any snags, and then it's sure to work.

Both my ak2i's were patched by a beta of ntrboot_flasher that writes b9s 1.0 to the card. Wouldn't want to share that tbo. I'll reflash them with the updated version, but for now it's almost bedtime for me. I'll do it this afternoon if nobody else has by then.

So in addition to being useful for emulation, that r4i gold I have will be useful if I brick (somehow), or buy a 3ds with firmware 11.4+ and don't want to use DSiware system transfer...

That's fine. I'm in no rush. It's not like I have any bricked or retail units to deal with atm. Just whenever you get the chance is fine with me. Is there a specific firmware version you're supposed to be on? I've tried with both the 4.0 (Deep Labyrinth) and 4.3 (Pipa Funnel) versions and no dice.

Yes it could. If its not a MCU Brick it could (and is too complicated for a normal people like us to do so)

I'm trying with my official ackeard 2i, but when i start dumping, say me :
chipID : 985847FF
HW rev :985847FF ( or other random number ).

My linker don't work on DSI/3DS, idk why, but when i put him 3DS, ntboor find him.

my ak2i works perfectly, except that I had to eject it and re-insert it a couple of time to get recognized properly. When proper, it says HW rev 81818181.

I am reading the instructions,where it point to flash the AK2 card?
all i see is flashing the source 3DS with ntrboot9strap,then it goes to put AK2 card on target 3DS.

Question:
Why is this any different from the other methodes already available ( Bootstrap Dsiware)
You still need 2 devices with 1 already being hacked?

• Two 3DS family devices
  • The source 3DS: the 3DS family device that is already running some kind of custom firmware (such as boot9strap or arm9loaderhax)
  • The target 3DS: the device on stock firmware

I already got my new2dsxl with cfw, but still whats the difference and which 1 is actually better to use?

So since I get mixed messages about this, does anyone know if a Acekard flashed with NTRBoot will continue to work normally in a 3DS or not?
