I just found out I now have a bandwidth limit. I'm so pissed, I can't download anything large without it going slow as fuck, although I only have been trying to torrent stuff. If I download from direct links will it be faster? Do I ever get decent download speeds? God dammit though, my accounts on private torrent trackers are useless

People still torrent?

Downloading direct links is faster and I hear is safer too.

It's difficult to find the files you really want when you don't torrent.

It isn't when you know where to look.

Comes to something when it takes longer to get hold of the latest games than it does to finish them.

But seriously, this is one of the reasons I only flash my handhelds (which sounds a bit more pervy than I intended...

) because my net connection is so utterly wank that downloading anything more substantial than a JPEG file will take longer than it's worth. So I download my DS games, any half decent PSP games that are less than about 700MB as anything above that will take days, and buy the rest. Which isn't working out too well for me 'cause all the decent PSP games these days seem to be at least a GB. Kingdom Hearts, Ace Combat X2, Valkyria Chronicles 2, etc. All big. Not actually downloaded a PSP game in ages. If it wasn't for my near perfect GBA emulation I'd probably just give up on PSP piracy and return to official firmware.

Well, you can usually find compressed, ripped or downsampled versions of the big games like those you mention...

It's also gonna help prevent Pirate Syndrome. If I got Pirate Syndrome for my 360 I would have nothing to play

He doesn't want him downloading so much, perhaps?

Eitherway quit your complaining OP. For years we have had to live with far worse in Australia, and I mean EVERYONE had to.

My mother is low on cash right now, so we had to get a cheaper cable package. I was unaware this meant I would have shitty Internet. I don't think I have a bandwidth limit. I'm pretty sure I'm just capped on my speed.
