Hacking FTP Server running in backround

I know there is FTPii but that has to be running in order to get to the SD card in the wii. Is there any homebrew way of being able to access the SD card in the wii from my PC without having to first run a app every time I want to access the SD card?

Can't say for sure (not tried), but I would think no m8 99% sure of this, it looks like orb. I think you view this from the internet channel. In which case you could do the same with apache or orb etc I do something similar and host a few hundred flash games and other stuff too.

yeah not quite what im thinking of. Iv used Orb on the wii. Good concept but bad for divx movies on the wii.

I was just wanting to be able to get to the wii sd card without taking it out of the wii (im lazy).

Can't be done in the "backgroud" yet.

FTPii will stop you needing to remove the SD though, but not while you do anything else.

Maybe linux for Wii would, Ive no idea not played about with it yet.
