FSGetMountSource failed. Please insert a FAT32 formatted sd card

Hello everyone I have been having trouble following the wii u hacks guide and I desperately need help please. I feel like going insane.

I'm literally on the first steps, I put the aroma files into my drive and connect it to my wii u (while its turned off obviously). My wii u usb slots are cleaned now. my external hard drive has been formatted into FAT32. I use the Y cable to connect it to the wii u, but when i use the browser to exploit it, it says:

FSGetMountSource failed. Please insert a FAT32 formatted sd card​

I thought my hard drive was the problem, but it actually works pretty fine on my laptop. This is so frustrating. Please, help me, I don't know what to do. I just want to play Breath of the wild.

I think the problem is as it says on the tin. Do you have a FAT 32 formatted SD card inserted into your Wii U?

No, I haven't tried using a formatted SD card yet... I wanted to use my external one sadly, I guess i'll have to buy a SD card now

Yeah you really need an SD card. Make sure to get an authentic SD Card to prevent any potential issues,

Wait, are you actually trying to use an external drive to mod the console? Yeah, no.

I guess I didn't want to accept it My wii u is second hand and it used to be connected all the time to an external one so I thought I could do it that way to mod it. I was blind with desperation, but now, I'm thinking more clearly. Thank you for your reply
