Just gave Project Cars 2 another chance.
Speaking of racing, was tooling Adrenaline onto my Vita/ppsspp while at it and revisited the brutality of MCLA and PSP port was as impressive as GT Portable was if not way better. So peeped your PC2 - all 3 are delisted on PC, and cracks of all 3 with all dlc are readily available and I somehow just missed the fact that Bandai made these, so Ima check out #2 as well based on quick hearsay from people.

Legend of mana:
Liking it so far but I think my opinion would be very different if I didn't use a guide

Sword of mana:
Very very fun and simple game and honestly has some very gorgeous sprite art at some points, I'm pretty sure I'm near the end and kinda regret not committing to it sooner

Secret of mana:
I don't need to say anything, most people already know how good this game is and how broken magic is lol
Speaking of - the 3D remake/masters/whatever were both very well done to bring the first 2 games into the modern look and feel. I will forEVER say that Final Fantasy seriously needed to be Mana series instead of Mana taking a major back seat in favor of neverending random encounter spam of boring-ass turn based combat. I poked about Namco Museum titles and The Legend of Valkyrie is also pretty up there for a fun action rpg kinda title.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age
You're in for days of fun and an amazing OST to boot! If ONLY these weren't turn-based and plagued with random encounter spam pokemon games at their core, I'd replay em again, but alas I'll just cherish fond childhood memories of em and my GBA carts.

The only complaint i have is the 3rd person view of the car. The way the camera follows the car when the player turns is kinda weird and somewhat "stiff".
So just whirled it with my DS5 as I would any racing game - this is a proper sim only in that you'd spend hours in the settings for that literal 2.5 lap actual race, but at least they let you make everything short if you're so inclined. The ONE thing say, Horizon 5 finally got right is car physics on a controller, and let's be honest - ALL but VERY hardcore "sims" need to be first and foremost be fully calibrated for controllers since there's honestly not much if anything to make for pedals as those have the proper force feedback and long and precise travel. Project Cars 2 was that flashback to me grabbing Assetto on a mad sale and spending hours making it acceptable to play on a controller and that's a masochistic feeling of accomplishment I'd rather not, hahahaha.....

Far as 3rd person view - none of these should ever be played that way and I was very pleasantly surprised that the game let you adjust FoV for every view to make them look pretty close to what you'd have IRL. Helmet view looking towards where you're steering is also something even casual games with cockpit view should do since it really helps convey the car's rotation.

Gonna try PC3 for the heck of it and hopefully not toss both into my "I might as well just play Assetto" bin because.........NOTHING will touch how GT7 and DS5 together convey that wheel and suspension feedback on a controller. I really hope our stellar DS4Win devs find a way to implement the adaptive triggers somehow, somewhen even in a manual mode because something as little as being able to set tension and it's progression can almost cure the throttle/brake issues on a controller (and yes, that should be a thing on normal versions without having to throw $200 at "pro" garbage, although perhaps its time I actually get one of those things to mess with the triggers).

My preferred viewpoint varies from car to car. On F1 types, KTM xBow types and alike i love the driver view. But for bigger cars that have obstructions like A pillars, i use the bonnet view or 3rd person view.

Sadly i dont have a driving wheel and pedals for the Xbox. I would love to have that and a VR headset with motion tracking, but alas its too expensive and the Xbox has zero VR support.

Funny you talked about MCLA and GT portable. I have the original UMDs siting on a shelf.
Visually they are very good, but i was very disappointed with GT because it did not has a carrear mode. WTF Sony? Why?

Always nice to see Grandia get some attention. I can't remember, have you played the PS1 port before? If so, how's the Saturn experience?
Reply wasn't for me but just finished Grandia on the Saturn. It was such a fun experience. From what Iv'e read, Saturn version is better in a lot of ways. Going to play part 2 on the Dreamcast next.

I hate the original UMDs siting on a shelf.
I hate mine too, UMDs, but don't have either funny enough (though I'm not sure about GT tbh). I have the collector's GT5 copy and I pray RPCS3 gets better because I don't want to hunt down micro cables and new batts for my DS3's to revisit it on PS3, nor do I have nor want a new TV(aka screen with speakers that consoles can IQ with) to make that a seamless experience. Plus whatever FW my PS3 is on is probably prime time for warez and I will get to it eventually IF just to replay MCLA properly (or really end up getting a damn PS4 just to do that.....or borrow one).

So, PC3 - literally your hybrid of Grid 2 and NFS Shift (2, much moreso) and that makes it completely alien to PC2 as a whole, but perhaps a bit welcome to Grid 2 and Shift 2. People who don't really drive need to understand that "arcade'y" physics actually make things more realistic since your input is a controller 99% of the time and even top-shelf GT3 cars IRL aren't that damn sensitive to throttle response nor breaking loose as these games would have you believe. And anything short of having a police interrogation table bolted down to a steel plate that a good force feedback wheel as well as whatever there isn't for the seat less so the pedals just won't convey the fine details you'd get from a real car....

Check this game out its nothing new slightly older but its a good entry into the aliens franchise. The game incorporates strategy and hectic levels. Its a challenging game for sure I played it before.
Challenging on just normal is a SEVERE understatement for how it's set up...... it feels ALMOST like an almost perfect overdue game type but kinda falls short with the whole "one for all" and not using fully active controls or at least being designed for those as an option - say use or at least toggle WASD for strafe movement to make things more fluid for not getting spotted, even if it's entirely MY fault for not wanting to spam droves of sensor lures every 2 corridors slowing action down to a grind......but in terms of nailing that fear, urgency, and caution it's done brilliantly! I didn't realize you can re-deploy (and was stubborn to until literally entire beginning squad was 4 days away on licking egg goo having run out of all of the coke after redbulls laced with it and the torches) and cleared basically up-to-the-first-mini boss of the first map on my first drop in, obv raising the angry noises to HARRRRDDDD. Then second dive in i figured it'd go a tad smoother until I ended up in the mines..........I can't say I've rage quit something after almost beating a pretty tough part of it in a very long time, but here we were last night.

I kinda love and hate it after sleeping and working on the memory - kinda wanna go back, kinda wanna just fire up Colonial Marines with the .ini major game fix and go through that again instead because at least the shooting loop won't be as absolutely repetitive to all, appropriate for the setting, hell.... By contrast, SW Zero Comp had it's moments but if you got settled into its X-COM'nes and general tactical turns by, you could spider-sense that "OHHHH SHHIIIIII" thing coming and figured how to deal with it.

Nah, we ALL hate those damn things like all other proprietary Sony nonsense. I honestly ONLY hold MD's dear because they fully protect the disks and you could get car/home players that weren't reliant on proprietary access device like PSP is for those awful things.

Yep, hey I warned you it was chaotic =) I do no death and no damage runs and let me tell you this.. that game WAS HARD. I can't recommend it for beginners (not saying you are, if anything you're what strikes me as a good gamer) especially strategy rts beginners as there are far better and easier games to recommend them to play. Hardest rts strat game I've ever played for sure. Its not much of a game as it is a massacre lol.. sorry if I drove ya nuts by recommending it. I just never had a discussion about the game with anyone before and it definitely is hard. I just barely scratched by beating the game and it took me a good amount of tries. As much as I love being challenged there is no way realistically speaking that a well prepared platoon of marines can't get the drop on a few waves of xenomorphs.

Actually I did like colonial marines and had bought it back in the day for my xbox 360. Yes, the game didn't live up to the potential it should have but I still enjoyed it for what it was. Besides the DLC stasis interrupted was awesome.

Oh dont get me wrong, i do hate $ony shenanigans with proprietary data storage formats, that are way overpriced (The worst one being the Vita memory cards: Super overpriced and with awful durability).

But i think the UMDs, for games, at that time was actually a clever idea. They were cheaper per byte than any mask rom or even Flash at the time, and they are small enough to be portable.
Sure near the end of the PSP life. flash storage became way more affordable and better but that is just how tech works.

I dont hate the UMD format, because it was a product of that era. The PSP, imho, was peak Sony engineering.
