Homebrew friend has problems with no$gba

my friend plays pokemon soul silver patched and with AR code on No$gba 2.6a with no$zoomer and when ever he saves after getting the squirttle bottle he crashes. 512kb flash save setting, anyone know how to fix it so he stops crashing when he saves
