Hey there. I've been having some trouble playing Metroid Prime Corruption recently, and I'd appreciate some help. Every so often, regardless of where I am in the game, the game will not load for me. I can remain in the same room, move around and shoot as normal, but the Scan Visor will not work, the music will be stuck on a 3-5 second loop, the door shield will drop but doors won't open, and if I try to open the map or menu, the game and system freeze completely, forcing a full power-off-power-on cycle to get back to normal.

I have done as much research as I can, and most of what I find is 4-5 years old, has little definitive answers, and the people having the issues are using older cIOSs than what I have. If there are any actual results given (which is pretty rare, unfortunately), it's typically from people just updating their cIOSs and getting it to suddenly work.

Right now, I've been using Configurable USB Loader v70, as that's had the least amount of issues. I've tried it on USB Loader GX v3 r1226, and it will work for a short while, then run into the same problems.
I'm running d2x 249[56] v10 beta53 alt, which afaict is the most recent release. I've also tried 250[57] v10 beta52, and all that does is shorten the time before it locks up on me.
I will say I've been running the game as an .iso backup from my 16GB USB drive.

Originally, I'd borrowed and ripped a friend's copy (thinking I wouldn't need it again), and had these issues. Thinking I might have had a bad rip, I've tested other copies found on the web from various sources, all with the same freezing problems.

TBH, I just wanna play the damn game without any hassle or frustration outside of gameplay. If anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

I honestly don't know anything for sure, but I remember hearing something about some Metroid game (might have been Trilogy) requiring a certain setting or something to make it work right. Other than that, I'd recommend using d2x v6 if you have an original Wii as that seems to have the least amount of problems. Since I have tons of free time, I'll try and reproduce this problem and see if I can't fix it.

Funny you say that, as I've found out my cIOS 248 is actually d2x v6 (as I'd checked when installing v10). Since you'd mentioned it, I went and tried to run it, and still no dice. Hell, it seemed to freeze even faster than 249 or 250, if anything. At this point, though, I've slogged through the game and beat it, regardless of the issues, but I'd still like to see what you may or may not come up with, once (if?) you're unsuspended.
