Hacking Freakyhax cfw?

Hello, I have a new 3ds xl on latest firmware(as of 7/16/2018) and i have freakyhax installed. I want to cfw my 3ds and don't want to use ntrboothax. Is there even a way to get luma3ds?

Well your only options are Hardmod, DsiWare , and NTRBoot these give you access to CFW. Freakyhax only give you access to userland homebrew not custom firmware.

I have a r4i 3ds gold plus and i want to use it to play nds games, but i also want to use it with ntrboothax. Would this be possible?

You can use it to set up CFW and then restore it to it DS function. Make sure your card is on this list.

Yes, you can switch the mode very easily, there an actual switch inside the card.
