PS1/2 FMCB installing help

Okay so I'm going to install FCMB tomorrow and I've got a question.
Can I install FMCB onto a ps2 Slim with CDGEN? Or do I need something like CodeBreaker/ActionReplay?
I'm not really sure about this kind of stuff.

oh and you could just sent it to an installer
