Does anyone know if this game has been given a release date, or has any actual gameplay footage? Wikipedia says it came out in Japan in March, but it doesnt seem to be around.

Honestly, I dont even know what it is. I just saw on dsfanboy that it would have the character from No More Heroes as a special character in the game.... Also its being made by the same guy, so I am interested.

i also remember reading somewhere (i think it was surfer girl) that it's a trilogy or something and that they will all be released in europe or US.

I could be mistaken, but I think the Japanese version dumped already sometime back. This English version is, I believe, due out later this year.
