Hacking Flashed DS + Download Play

Is it a flashed ds has to be the one downloading? Or what it is?

"allegedly" the receving ds "HAS TO" be flashed. From my experience, some games work, while others do not, leading me to the conclusion that it is the way the rom is patched that matters, as well as how "clean" it was when it was patched. Others say that there is "No way around it". I'm trying to start a list with the working and non working roms from everyones experiences, and see what we can find out.

what games are you trying to run, and what flash card are you using?

For simplicity's sake, the flashed DS should be the receiver if the sender is a rom. There are a few cases where it would not need be, but this is both card and rom specific.
