hi i know next to nothing about flashcarts or how they work, i was trying to get a gba emulator running so i could play emerald romhacks and through some chicanery managed to delete like, half of the files on the sd card, most of which im sure were important. is there somewhere i can download those files or smth so i can get it working again?

The only files that are required are the kernel files. The rest is just games, save data and homebrew.
Use data recovery software like Recuva or GetDataBack or Disk Drill. Make sure to enable the option to recover deleted files. You should be able to get most of the files back. Don't make any changes to the MicroSD card until you have done that as any changes could overwrite the deleted file data. Recover it to a folder on your PC, not a folder on the card as that would also overwrite the data.
