Gaming FLAC files for mac

Well I have some music files and realized that they are FLAC and not mp3. I tried to figure out how to format them into an mp3 file and it said I needed Winamp or something, but it's not really working. I don't know if it is because I have a mac or what, but I just need some help. I know I'm probably being a noob again.
