The Audio Driver is Disabled inside the Kernel , maybe somebody can build a custom kernel with Sound Drivers Enabled.

[root@kombos alarm]# cat /proc/asound/cards
--- no soundcards ---

This doesn't mean it's disabled. It'll also throw this error when it doesn't have a driver it recognises or one at all.

This is the issue, not that it's just turned off

i was messing with the kernel right now and its indeed disabled , but i am not able to compile a custom kernel (and the drivers should be there its Realtek ALC)

Give it a go, let us know how you get on but I don't think it will be that simple.
Who knows I may be wrong though.
Good luck

1, 2, 3, KODI !!!! I have to stop blinking reading this forum . I think i have developed the visual form of Tourette's. Audio drivers would just be the creme de le creme - netflix oooo tooobe and Kodi/XBMP/XBMC

seems like the pixel c got audio drivers they need to be merged inside our kernel mainline
If it is the pixel c that should be relatively simple, just need to recompile the kernel with those drivers

But then again things are never that straight forward in my experience

I doubt that it's just disabled.

Any way, you should be able to do menuconfig to see the build envrionment. But I highly doubt it was just forgotten to be enabled.
While in menuconfig, you will have an interactive command prompt to look through the config of the kernel. There will be a lot. I could prob give it a whirl.

Where can I find the source for the arch Linux kernel being used? Im on the v3 arch Linux from the NAND dump prebuilt img on this forum, I would like that source. Im sure it's in OPs thread.
Also, would need to know which compiler was used.
Im wondering if they used 4.16.0 or 4.16.5. .0 is pretty bad, .5 pretty good lol

What about that Fail0verflow old video showing GNU/Linux booting perfectly and seemingly working completely?
Why don't they release the patches? Aren't they doing so?

they had debian working perfectly idk why they dont release it
