Do all acekard have springs?

I don't think mine was ever what I would call springy. It was quite tight the first couple of times I used it. It has loosened up now but still stays in ok.

when my M3i spring broke, it stopped working after i took the spring out

They are usually hooked into place and to take the spring out you usually need to go at it from the side.

You probably cut/scraped a trace when you were removing the spring and broke a connection.
