I want to softmod my Wii to play backups.I installed HBC over year ago, and haven't done anything with it since. My question is, is there a way to mod your Wii, and make it safe from bricking, and if so how do I go about doing it?Any input would be appreciated thanks.

Search for "Complete Softmod Guide" without quotes in Google.

Will my previous HBC interfere with a new installation?I also installed some ios when I installed HBC, I remember it requiring it.

Ok, I updated to 4.2 safely, and finished all the steps. If I wanted to play a real game disc, could I still do that?My friend has No More Heroes 2, and I wanted to borrow it, can I?

    There
Burned games can only be used on older Wiis, the ones without the D3-2 drive.

Use of external HD is alright, you have to use a USBLoader though

u should be fine, but even if it was a new wii u can always copy a wii backup disk to your harddrive using a computer, and if its a retail disk u can rip the games to your external hard drive using the wii
