I currently have 3.3v1, and I'm worried about the risk of bricking my wii. I don't plan on updating atm, but I do install alot of wads for custom BLC channels. Was wondering what I should do as Brick-Precautions.

I have heard that the best bet is to install starfall, but I'm not sure if I should be doing it on my current firmware (3.3Uv1).

Thanks.

you cant install starfall on sys 3.3, you need to downgrade with the downgrader applications, then, then can you install starfall patches, yo can find the apps all over google
oh and make sure you keep the TP hack save in saves management.
and to be more brick proof, a modchip.

No problem, don't bother to find the download links I can find them myself. But will I lose any features or face disadvantages from downgrading to 3.2?

3.4? Won't that screw up starfall if I have anything different from 3.2? Does starfall update itself? Sorry I just want to get everything straight before I do anything.

i was talking about the 3.4 features like better disc reading etc, i was saying we hopefully will see a patcher that lets us lower firmware users gets the same fuctions of that 3.4 update.

starfall is a application, it doesn't update and never will, but install the patches of your choice, like skip updates, install recovery when pressed y on pad, region free channels, etc

like everyone knows 3.2 is the best/safest firmware to be on...for now

So does that mean... suppose in the future, I update to 3.6 or w/e higher version, and then use waninkoko's downgrader (assuming it works on that firmware) to downgrade to 3.2u. Would I still get the benefits of a 3.6 system menu on the 3.2?
