Just wait for the gateway team to release the new firmware, which will support 3ds 7.0 firmware! Now, you can only play ds games on your 3ds console!

complete and utter nonsense
they said, they work on the new 7.x encryption, which was blocking eshop acces on 7.1 emunand and now is completely blocking emunand on 8.0, also the games, that require 7.1+ fw are affected by it
so when they release their new firmware with the 7.x encryption decrypted, it will mean, that emunand will work again and eshop access will be back, by no means will it mean, that a 7.0 firmware sysnand 3ds will be gateway compatible
we know, they are working on exploits for 5.x+ sysnands, however stating, that the NEXT firmware will already include such a feat is completely nonsense or otherwhise they would have announced it, because they have been saying, they work on exploits for higher firmwares since gateway's release and if they were by any means close to it, it would have been announced in a big way already

Slight correction. They said they will try to work on 5.x+ systems. They never did mention anything directly that states they are working on >4.5x support.

if they are trying to work on 5.x+ systems, it means they are working on >4.5x support, whether or not that will ever be achieved is something entirely else, but they clearly stated, they are trying to get support for higher firmwares, because ofc that would boost their sales, with an obviously larger base of people with gateway compatible consoles
I either totally misunderstand your post or you totally contradicted yourself ---- making 5.x+ systems compatible = supporting >4.5x systems
