Gaming Final Fantasy IX Japan Update?

So... while roaming around discord today I noticed, given that today marks the 19th anniversary since it's release, that Final Fantasy IX seems to have gotten an update on Friday for the japan version. Anyone knows what's included in that update or if we will be getting it overseas? I was planning to start playing it today but if there is an incoming update I'd wait for that to be release... specially if it fixes the audio bug on the overworld.

That's precisely why I'm trying to figure out what's in the update. I was thinking about installing the japanese version of the game but can't find it anywhere. I can only find the update.

They did announce the sound glitches and other bugs were going to be fixed in all the rereleases.

Nice! if that is the case then I'll wait for the update to hit the us shop before starting to play. I saw videos of the glitch and know it will drive me crazy.
