Gaming Final Fantasy III save state thingie

I've tried to play around with a FFIII save state file, with no luck. Any modification, even one letter in character's name - and the state won't load with 'save corrupted' error.

Any tips on how it is done properly? or a save state editor link? or anything?

There appears to be no permanent site for it so instead of fighting with rapidshare and the like you can use my mirror:

Usage is fairly obvious but you may need some extra runtimes and such as detailed in the thread I linked.
