Maybe this opens the door for XIII and XV.
And i hope we get PC Master Race graphix but its very unlikely, gonna be probably the PSP port.

A port based on a port? So glad I'm apart of the master port race.

Just guessing, but i think its gonna be PSP port.
And how games get ported to PC, the release date might be in a month or two.

I figured it would be lifted from the recent Android/iOS cash-ins. Which, I mean, at least that would let me finally try that FF Dimensions game if all their mobile work comes over.

Hmmmm... Dragon Quest VIII could be nice on PC too :D At least we have emulators.

Long as they don't use the POS art they used in the mobile ports, I'll be happy.

Lame... I thought it was going to be the REAL Final Fantasy III:

I always hated the way the FF games were named in the US, FF6 is definitely a good game, too bad they'll never port the Snes version; if anything, they'd likely go with the inferior IOS version.

Why is this FF3 AND FF6? I somehow feel like I was cheated out of a few FF games because of the naming confusion... I played FFI and II on NES, III on SNES, IV and V remakes on PSone, and then when I see roms for VI, it's the same as the III I've already played on the SNES... WTF?

I already have this on my DS, I don't need another copy, but hopefully VI isn't far behind. If they port that in 3D, I'd be first in line to get it.

The US skipped Final Fantasy II (Famicom) and Final Fantasy III (also Famicom), Final Fantasy IV became II in the US and VI became III. Then the PSX suddenly gets VII and so thus began the confusion with the numbers. Since then, all FF games have been released either on PSP, GBA, PSX or on some other device, but for a long time, there were anomalies with the numerical order of FF games.

    Recap

Japan got FFI, II, III, IV, V, and VI

FF II, III and V were skipped for being "too difficult" for American audiences, then we got VI, which stupidly became III to avoid confusion or some crap like that. Ted Woosley actually had a script for Final Fantasy V but was never used.

Don't forget that they also planned to port FF II from the Famicom to the NES - there's a fully functional prototype rom that is translated, but was never released.

So having the American GBA releases I & II dawn of souls, 4, 5, 6, and the DS port of III, I essentially have all of the FF games pre-7?

Okay, cool, thank you. (I still think a fully 3D version of 6 is severely overdue)

A 3D version of FF6 has to be done, but SE, being the company that they are, will never do it since they want to make shitty remakes on mobile devices I can make in RPG maker VX Ace in like, a day lol :D The only old-school FF we've seen get the 3D treatment was FFIV DS.

    It really isn't.

Personally I loved III on the DS, and I'm really happy to see it's coming to the PC.

III was good on the DS, but it feels out of place on the PC. Personally, I'd rather see an HD remake of 8, my all-time favorite.
