I really want a Wii U for Mario Kart 8 and SBBU. But at the same time, I want a PS4 for fighting games like Street Fighter and GG XRD.

Why are there no fighting games on Wii U other than SSB?

Why not play Street Fighter on PS3 or 360... There are more players on there than there will be on the PS4 version. GG XRD? There is 0 reason to buy a PS4 when there are 0 fighting games if that is all you really want to play at this time.

I own Tekken Tag believe me it is broken because you can hotkey combos into the gamepad so online is a joke since everyone can perform the hardest combos with ease

I Just don't use them. TTT2 is fun as SH!T. But yeah to the online thing; they should have disabled them in online play. Never stopped me from winning online though.
I would love to see more fighters on Wii U though, like DOA and a new Mortal Kombat...

PS4 would last longer than PS3. Guilty Gear XRD btw.

I've had my PS3 since launch and never had a problem... I wouldn't invest in a PS4 until a price drop if you just want to play Street Fighter though not even Ultra is coming to it. Also, there are more people playing the 360 so if you want to improve I would definitely get a 360 and game pad.

Because fighting games don't cater to casuals.

Tekken Tag 2 is great and Injustice very well done. I think there's lack of new fighting games regardless of platform.

Being able to execute silly combos is not particularly a matter of skill, just how often you played the game. The skill is in knowing when to use them. Having to memorize massive combos just raises the entry bar.

To be fair Tekken has always been stupid in forcing you to memorize stupidly long combos with precise timing and makes half the game a terrible memory game and the other half a mediocre 3D fighter. There's a reason fighting games have shifted towards simplified combos (like Marvel vs. Capcom 3).

Also if you want a fighting game platform, get a Vita. Has practically everything minus a more modern Street Fighter.

I have injustice and its really good. It's harder, more complicated and challenging than super smash Bros, and the graphics are very nice.

There's Tekken Tag 2, Injustice, Street Fighter 2 (VC) and others.

Currently my favourite is TT2 but I haven't touched that in a while due to playing Mario 3D World.

Btw, if you're good enough you can easily over-take the lazy players who just tap on the screen for the combos.

    Yo, fellow fighter here! :)

These are not Wii U titles per se, but the Wii had a fair share of goodies that'll keep you entertained on your Wii U as well:

    1. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core (Plus)*
    2. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (Wii exclusive)
    3. King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga
    4. Samurai Shodown Anthology
    5. Bleach: Shattered Blade
    6. Naruto Clash of Ninja series
    7. Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
    8. Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion

I may have missed a few, but to say the Wii has no fighting games would be stupid. Wii U adds a few to the list such as Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Injustice. More may come, Arc System Works even showed interest in a Wii U port of Xrd if there's enough demand. If you're a real Guilty Gear fan you'd not wait for Xrd, though. Did you not see those dust attacks in the announcement trailer? Or the priority guard system? Yuck!

If you want a great system for fighting games then your best bet is either a PS3 or PC. (If only for more options in buying a good arcade stick.) Some of the better stuff is available on PS3 like BlazBlue: Chronophantasma and Persona 4: Arena. Xrd is also maling its way to PS3 if you're really, REALLY, into it. I'm personally not and have played Guilty Gear since the first version on PlayStation. Far prefer #R to any of the current versions, but Accent Core Plus is very good.

*This one supports 480p and since it's 4:3, upscaled on a Wii U via HDMI it looks gorgeous. It's as sharp as Accent Core Plus (PSN version) on a PS3 via HDMI. I play on a 46" Sony BRAVIA TV and it's definitely Guilty Gear on my Wii U over the PS3 any day. Just remember to play with a Classic Controller Pro (which to me feels more precise than a DualShock 3) or if you want an arcade stick look on eBay for the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom stick and mod it with Sanwa parts. It's made by Mad Catz and is super cheap. It also has a switch that changes the behaviour of the joystick (to have it simulate the D-pad or the analog stick on a Classic Controller, making it compatible with Smash).

    Hope this helps.

Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom deserves to have a sequel that game was and still is awesome to play.

One of my favourite fighting games on any system.
