My Loadiine games are on SD. I don't have CFW on my WiiU yet. I am just considering my options before I commit to Mocha CFW, and effectively starting over with my WiiU game collection.

I appreciate the feedback!
You can keep these if you want, but I still strongly suggest installing games to Wii U menu. You will not have to visit HBL everytime you want to play something.
But for CFW, If you have legitimate DS VC game then instantly go for it, you will not regret it.

Ok, will do. One more question - What format games work with Mocha CFW? Please excuse my ignorance, but i am litterally about to start over...

This applies to everything: Install/Encrypted format [.h3, .app .tik etc.]
You need to install these games using Wup Installer Mod Y or Wup Installer GX2

I was about to start dumping nand but the link for EyeKey's Github is empty. I'm noob plz reupload it :)
Is it the best app to make a backup for a wii u nand (I see it includes vWii nand too, so Xyzzy, dump mii nand and yet another blue dump are not a need now)?

Nah, you can just dump slccmpt and you will be done. Hm, i'll look into that, thanks for telling me

Hi again, I find useful your guide to back up Wii U nand as I don't know if others' guides are specifically for only Rednand purposes (maybe get a different format). Let me tell you a few concerns. Unfortunatelly I'm gonna back up my nand when I own more than 20 games on HDD. Tell me if it'll work out well. I'll just simply disconnect my HDD before using NAND dumper (following your instruccions). Then copy-paste in a folder on PC, erase the file in my SD card and then use the SD card for HBL for Mocha things. :V

You can backup with HDD, it will be ignored and not copied. It will just copy whatever is on MLC, not on external storage so you're fine.
Mhm, do that.

You still should dump. In future, we might have a recovery method which wouldn't require hardmod.
Alright, thanks.
Btw, I'm following your guide now that my WiiU has finally arrived. Noticed something that could cause trouble.
The homebrew appstore (at least for me) does not download titles to the SD card for some reason. It's sort of giving me the run around, as when I tried to put mocha cfw on my SD card manually, it booted me back into the Wii U menu (without giving me the initial Mocha CFW setup options listed in your guide).

Also, I assume that it's normal for the WiiUbru.com/go page to whitescreen whenever HBL fails to boot, right? The 3DS was like this as well. Might have to invest in a DS title for haxchi if this keeps up.

You might want to redownload appstore or delete cache folder in sdcard://wiiu/apps/appstore/

Hi, I unfortunally got the 5.5.2 update installed but fortunatelly followed this guide weeks before and I have Homebrew channel in vWii, and left it like that. So far I haven't try to install any cIOS (definitive guide vWii). My concern is if my vWii is still able to play nintendont without any risk of brick, btw Im using an microSD?

You will be unable to hack Wii U itself but vWii can be hacked anytime, any version.
So go ahead, you're able to still run Nintendont and other vWii homebrew.

I'm happy to announce that this guide is back-on-track!
It's no longer outdated!

Guide changelog:
-Made NNUPatcher step
-Redirected users from Haxchi step to NNUPatcher step
-Kinda NNUPatcher step isn't so good as i wanted it to be, that's due to my laggy windows tablet. i'll fix it tomorrow so it will look fancy as hell
-Removed vWii small guide [Spoiler Limit has been reached and whole guide broke]
-Changed date to something which looks nicer.
