You've been extremely helpful to me, but I have one final question. Why is it that we can open extra data saves but not battle saves?

Battle saves are slightly different from normal saves (since they have to store unit positions, map changes, etc). This editor *might* be able to open them, but I'm not sure.
Edit: Also, extra data saves are the exact same as normal saves. The only differences are storage location and that extra data saves have weird backup copies.

Ok, makes sense. Also, the editor definitely couldn't open my battle saves, but do you know any way how I could extract characters from a battle save?

Just look around for their character ids. Unless they are enemies, as the enemies will likely lack ids unless you're playing against Saizo or something.

I hex edit her to give Charlotte as mother.
I tried to keep her as basic as possible so you can train her on your own way.

I haven't been able to try her out since I currently don't have my Nintendo 3DS at my possession.
Can you just tell me if she shadowban you or not? Since she normally can't have Charlotte as a mother.

Is this still being updated? I'd really like the option to add personal skills to a character's equipped skills. I can't hex edit and would like to do it using a save editor. Anything like that planned?

Anyway, interesting tool. Haven't used it for my save files yet, but will definitely for some interesting challenge runs.

Soaprman is busy IRL right now to work on this. I believe he said that he would work on it when he has the chance. But right now, it's not currently being updated.

Wouldn't really be useful since it will sban you. Plus most of them are garbage for battle

I don't mind getting banned. I want to do fun runs and or make silly units with skills that are simply enjoyable, funny, ridiculous or dumb. It's just for fun, really. Offline, I mean.

Sorry if this has been answered but I need to change my personal character's name.
I put her a japanese name cuz I was playing it before it came to America on my Gateway but now after transfered my save data to an american FEF my name became "????" so what can I do? D:

You can always modify the source code. I have no clue how to use C or C++, and I was able to do it.

I saw that powersaves can easily equip your characters with personal skills, downside is that they can't be learned

Glad to see you figured it out, however, I've never really had any problems, for reference, here's what I do.

Using this image, once I have both children, I just go to one of them and swap these two values around, and that's enough to get everything working as intended.

You can't edit personal skills via save, those are harcoded from GameData.bin
