Hacking FBI error : Failed to install CIA file.

So i'm aware this has already been asked about a million times, but whenever i try to install a .cia file i get this error:

Failed to install CIA file.
Result code : 0xD8E0806A
Level : Permanent (27)
Summary : Invalid argument (7)
Module : AM (32)
Desc : Cert signature or hash check failed (106)

but from everything i've read the solution was either to install cfw or that the cia file was bad. Except that I already have Luma3ds cfw and i've tried about a dozen different cia files from different sources (Villain3ds, Wii U Usb helper, etc...)
It's driving me crazy, especially since freeshop stopped working and screws up my sd card whenever i even launch it. FBI is the only tool i have to install cias and it won't work. Also the sd card i have is completely fine i checked it twice with h2testw, and formatted it 2 times already.

So if anyone knows what is the cause of this, and how to fix it please let me know. Thanks in advance.

That desc usually means a bad file. Whats the name of the game are you trying to download?

Also.... Did you get your freeshop from https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-community-freeshop-fork-open-source-eshop-alternative.483159/ or somewhere else?

1. Copy everything off your SD card.
2. Reformat it as FAT32 + 32 KB cluster size. Use Windows File Explorer or guiformat.
   
3. Check your (empty) SD card with H2testw in a Full Write + Verify test, to see if it's fake (do not skip this step and tell us it's real until you do this).

Does it pass inspection? If it does, are you using arm9loaderhax?

That desc usually means a bad file. Whats the name of the game are you trying to download?

All of these gave me the same error, even when i re-downloaded each of them from different sources.

Nope. Using b9s with Luma3ds 8.1.1 (tried it on 9.0 too same error)

Make sure you have everything up to date (meaning FBI itself). Also, do you run FBI through homebrew, home menu installation or H&S inject?

I run it through home menu installation, And i tried different versions of FBI from the latest (2.5.0) to (2.4.12) and all showed the exact same error. It's been driving me nuts all day

Well, the issue for whatever reason is that certificate patches aren't being applied. Are you on b9s 1.3 or an older one? And try getting a CIA from CIAngel just in case...

I did the cfw setup all over again and now it works! Thank you so much. I thought there was something wrong with my console even though i'd just set up b9s 1.3 and it was running smoothly except for FBI and then freeshop.

Also my sd card is class 10 (16gb)

• Solution for Luma3ds error "An exception occurred. ARM11 - data abort - Translation-section"

Make sure you have ( ) Disable ARM11 exception handlers not marked with x. I've seen people mess up their 3DS by ignoring the underlying problem.

Yeah, i found out that it only hides the exceptions, it doesn't actually solve anything.

I was running Gateway EmuNand and tried today to install Luma using the guide in 3ds.guide, chose to copy the old EmuNand into the new SysNand during installation, but I think this may have produced some errors. FBI does not install all .cia's I've found, although seemingly legit according to others, but does install some (even whole games). It seems to install only small packages, although I have a lot of space in the SD card, so maybe is there any hidden size limit due the copying I performed?

What is the proper way to do everything from scratch, like a format? Even erasing the EmuNand, which I suppose is not used now if it exists? Thanks.

I just did everything from the beginning after formatting the SD card as the post above said and now every cia installs.

Pokemon Ultra Sun still shows ARM9 exception occurred when lauching, even with seed being imported [Post #5]

Quick overview on what to do.

• Test the emptied out SD card for hardware problems.
• Update to the latest B9S, Luma, and GM9 custom firmware on both SD card and CTRNAND. Update to the latest 3DS firmware.
  
• Decrypt and hash check the Pokemon Ultra Sun CIA in GodMode9.
  
• Use FBI Import seed.

J'ai refait la configuration cfw et maintenant ça marche! Merci beaucoup. Je pensais qu'il y avait quelque chose qui n'allait pas avec ma console même si je venais de configurer b9s 1.3 et que tout fonctionnait bien, sauf pour le FBI, puis le freeshop.

De plus, ma carte SD est de classe 10 (16 Go)
