The one that pops into my head is Penn & Teller's Sega CD game. It's the one with that infamous Bus Simulator. You know which one i'm talking about.

I don't know if that game is any good (i.e. much fun), cause i haven't actually played it, but yea, it's a great weird game!

I'm reminded of the days before the internet, when crazy games were found on accident.

Like the day I went to the store to buy a new NES game, and saw one on the shelf that had Dracula, The Creature From The Black Lagoon, and a bunch of less identifiable, yet equally awesome monsters on the cover.

Imagine my surprise putting in Monster Party, and discovering I was playing a kid with a baseball bat that could transform into a purple-armor wearing birdman that spit fire when I took drugs. And that the first boss was an appetizer platter from a theme restaurant that dripped blood as it jumped at me.

The second boss was already dead when I came to it.

It only got weirder as I went.

I think you should find the name of that game and share it with the rest of us.

In otherwords, GIMME GIMME GIMME! Sounds like good time forked up shit.

I said it right there. It's "Monster Party". Fantastically strange game.

Glover was one of my faves. It was basically Super Mario 64 on acid. Also was Mischief Makers, which was about a few hours of japanese weirdness crammed into my childhood

N64 was insane

Yes, N64 WAS insane.

Weirdly enough, our N64 didn't come with SM64, and I'm pretty sure it was new (not used). Also, NBA Live '99 allowed you to keep knocking people down and scoring. It sounded like they were humping eachother. My best score for 12-minute quarters (or was it halves?) was like 325-29. On all-star difficulty. When I was 8. @ 7 in the morning.

Another that I have played is LSD. No words can possibly describe that game. It really made no sense but I did enjoy it and everyone should check it out.
So what are some odd games you have played?

As soon as I read the title, this is what I thought of. I guess people would consider killer7 and Flower, Sun, and Rain as strange too, and they were tooooo good.

Flowers Sun and RAIIN ! I loved that so much I completed it once in japanese and once in English

. I'm even so crazy bout it that I downloaded the OST for it

Does anyone remember Bloody Roar - that was really odd, but kind of good fun.

As well as, oh I do not remember the name. The one on the N64 where you were on the hover jets, started with an F I beleive.

And sneaky snakes on the Gameboy

man...there were so many games in the 8-bit and under era that were weird just because publishers didn't give a crap what the game was about. Such as the two big tomato games I can think of- Kwirk for Gameboy, a puzzler starring a "cool" (he wore sunglasses)tomato--who eventually got a role on a real life saturday morning cartoon where he would rap; and Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom for the NES, a point and click adventure where you played a cucumber knight trying to rescue the eponymous Princess Tomato, with the aid of your pageboy, a persimmon. Game play involved such highlights as a lettuce family concentration camp, fighting an eggplant who dressed up like Gaddafi in a paper-rock-scissors match, and at one point climbing in a giant robot to do battle.

...I may have made the game sound better than it is.

Skullmonkeys on the ps1 was a great platform and the most strange game I have ever played. It's such a shame that it doesn't work on the psp.
