favorite rpg

I loved Tales of Symphonia. The music was so awesome. I also loved Skies of Arcadia and Grandia 2, the music in that was even better.
For tactical ones, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.

I want to play it, but I haven't. There's not quite enough exclusive games on PS4, that I want to play, for me to justify the price, yet. Normally I would get it on PC, but it's Steam only and I don't like Steam, due to it essentially being online DRM.

Lots of good ones so far (and a few... wtf?s as well) but let's throw Ultima 7 into the mix. (PC version, not whatever the hell that was they slapped the U7 name onto for the Super Nintendo).

The first Shin Megami Tensei absolutely blew my mind away when I played it in the mid 00s, nothing has topped it ever since.
Too bad we'll never have games like it again.

Until I played Valkyria Chronicles, Tales of Symphonia was easily my favorite RPG of all time. It still pretty much is overall. Love it to bits. I beat it so many times I can't even remember...but I know I have more than 700 hours put into it, haha.

I still need to finish Skies of Arcadia...

I usually get more into turn-based games (I have bad reflexes), but I quite liked the battle system in Tales. The thing I liked most about this game was the dramatic moments and the music and the characters. It was just so well-made.
